I’m all for this it’s discipline, but it doesn’t look good to be looking at others and setting them in a different category just because you don’t like what they wear who cares , does it really matter when at the end of the road it all fades away? I keep my shoes clean because I like it ,not because I want to put down someone else. Yeah I’ll get banned maybe but I’m just saying 🤷🏻‍♂️

I understand the need to be presentable. But clothes don't make the man. The man makes himself. Often times, a man can appear to be a slob, but end up being he's the damnedest hard worker you've ever seen. Then there are those who wear the most expensive three piece suits and be the most Freddie's, manipulative person you've ever seen. Shoes only tell you where he's been and what he did.

@The Guitologist Shoes, much less anything these days aren't made to last for several reasons. 1. Stagnation of technology. Don't get me wrong; if it's a good product, then stay at it. But look at Vietnam era boots then and today. Gives you foot problems, sores, takes long to dry out. Got to shine them, condition the leather. Boots today have GORTEX, extreme weather insoles, waterproof, breathable, adjustable, extreme hill climbing soles, still retains a presentable shine even after extreme use. 2. Mass production/reduced costs. The more you make of something, the cheaper it gets. If a lot of people need better boots and for cheap, you have to get the masses to buy more recent ones. 3. Performance New vs Old: Forgive me for using the analogy, but a 20 year old can perform better in bed than a 60 year old. But the 60 year old has experience where the 20 year old doesn't. The point being is nothing lasts forever. Things that are new become old and soon enough, need replacing. I have a multi-tool that is 25 years old. Still ok, but it doesn't have much rugged use left. And they made better models now.

So the two greatest men I've known , one now 80 + and the other gone, never worried one iota about the bling. The 80+ guy was a lifelong logger in Montana. Never had a shinny anything but could fling two of you across the lake . Both had many children and wonderful families. Last i saw he had some puffy purple boots on. And i bet he could still fling one guy across the lake. Wranglerstar is less a man if comparing .

While I agree, I do like casual shoes a lot, I work hard in my vans mowing, working in my shop, construction. But my boots, I care about. I’ve got a nice pair of Doc Martin Customs and multiple western boots. All were well over $100 and have lasted years.

It is so true about women looking at shoes. I found a rare bird: a rustic, non-materialistic, ivy-educated, thin, blonde-haired Swede (12 years on we now have three blond girls)... and YES she noticed when we went out on dates I wore shoes and NOT sneakers. Young men sneakers are NOT date appropriate for quality girls -- save them for guys night. You look like a kid and not serious. The guys that complain about men have no game and don't want to put in any effort. Listen to the man on axes and shoes. By the way I should add I was pushing 40 and she was 26 when we met!

@Wranglerstar Great video, did the same with my son. As an aside, agree Nocona Boots were always my favorite. 1st pair I bought w/ $$$ I'd saved were an exotic leather in 1986, still have that pair. Enid Justin founded Nocona Boots, back when her brothers packed up and moved Justin Boots operations to Ft. Worth. Nocona Boots got a reputation for making the toughest, i.e. longest lasting, boots. In 1981 Nocona merged with Justin Ind. parent company of Justin Boots. Unfortunately, in 1999 the Nocona plant, where the best quality boots were still being made, was closed. Now the parent company is Berkshire Hathaway corporation with rights to Justin, Nocona & Tony Lama brands.

Shoes say absolutely nothing about a person. Just another thing that simple minded people pass down from generation to generation because it's deemed important, but in reality means absolutely nothing. What you cover your feet with as long as they serve the purpose of allowing you to not get injured walking along the ground, does not say anything about the person you are.

Great video as always and really nice job on those old boots. I can’t say I spen a fortune on my work boots but they are expensive to me. Brown lace up Carolina boots are by far my favorite. About $200 and they last several years. They get abused and scared from work but I can clean them up and they’re ready for church if I wanted to put in the work lol. I will usually clean them and mink oil them every month during the cold season. When I was a younger man I didn’t know how important it was to spend the money and get food boots. I would get out of bed in the mornings and my feet would pop and crack oh they would hurt so bad!! Started coming off that hip and spent some coin on some Carolina work boots and my feet have been healed ever since. Word of advise if you work all day and bust your tail you deserve a good pair of boots you will never put a cheap pair on your feet ever again!!!

Why is love according to the method of the "baal hasulam" is the solution to all troubles for humanity? Because all nature is a force, a feature, a system, a formula of love. Of connection and unity between opposites, between hot and cold, hard to soft, white and black, male and female, sweet and bitter, light and dark. In every atom and particle, in every inanimate plant and life, the whole universe and beyond, the whole reality is the result of a connection between opposites. For humanity and the individual, one power rules from the day of birth, hatred of others and self-love at its expense, egoism. By combining the power of love with the equation, man maintains the connection between the opposites and thus stops resisting nature, and enters into harmony with it, which is the goal of nature, to do good to creatures. Until then, man will suffer great and immense suffering in order to recognize and submit to the demand of nature, He must strive in his power and choice in loving others. Thus he will acquire intellect and wisdom to connect the two opposites and will complete the nature that was created with unintentional intent, but rather man must complete it, and manage it, and bring it to perfection. And why did nature do that? (Nature and God are the same gematria 86) In order for man to grow and develop in his free choice and thus conduct creation as the conductor of an orchestra, And if man had been created in advance corrected and perfected? So he was like a perfect animal, dog and cat. But their rank as a robot is controlled with no free choice but absolute instinct dominates them. After all, a real benefit from a father to his son is nothing but that the son rises and grows according to the rank of his father and even above him. We were to conquer nature just like the one who created it. And not when judging and living a dog and a cat. If so the solution Is not in increasing the hatred from which it is not lacking and will never be lacking because that is how it has been imprinted on us from the day of birth (Media you do a very bad job just a pity a lot of beatings along the way !!!!) Nor in the abolition of hatred because it is power is in nature and should not be abolished. But only in the addition of love and connection and oneness addition upon addition while being aware of the process. The people of Israel will wake up !!! Followed by the whole world !!!!! Nature (G-d) requires connection and oneness and if not, he has every means to educate man and humanity until his surrender. He will not rest or sleep until the purpose of creation is completed. To do good to creatures. Come, O Bnei Yisrael, you are the first to realize this study !!!!!!!! And when you know, you will teach your brothers the peoples of the world. This is called light to the Gentiles. And this is a job we do not deserve at all in the meantime. "For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples!" Love friends only love. It is the solution for every individual and for everyone together. how? To do propaganda of connection and not of separation and hatred ....

I'm a city boy, I mostly wear a pair of Nike trainers (sneakers) that I've had for several years, they still look half-decent and feel comfortable but they are a little dirty and after watching this video I went ahead and cleaned them, why? Well because even though they're sneakers I still want to leave a good impression and perhaps if I'm lucky, some girl will notice me someday and appreciate a pair of clean shoes. I used to clean my sneakers quite often actually but kind of got out of the habit of doing so, need to get back into it. I do own a few smart shoes that I'll wear with a suit or nice shirt occasionally, I always keep those in great shape but there's not much maintenance since they don't get worn much, if I get a job where I have to wear them every day then I'll be sure to polish them.
